Horror Show was a great band, blending melodic elements like In My Eyes did, but lyrically more towards American Nightmare style, with depressive, desperate, broken heart themes, besides that, musically they were very energetic. Other contemporary bands, that were doing similar music, would be Breaker Breaker, Damage Done and Miracle Mile.

This release compiles everything they recorded, before the singer got arrested and 2 members died. Deathwish re-release it in 12" format, which I end up buying, because both their releases (Our Design and Holiday) were long sold out.

Descobri o Backlash através do selo que lançou este album (1124 Records), selo este responsável pelo tributo ao Chain Of Strenght!

Backlash foi uma banda que existu entre 91-97 sem muito reconhecimento fora de Nova Jersey.

No site deles do bandcamp você pode baixar as músicas dessa discografia ou adquirir o vinil duplo que está muito bem feito. Musicalmente eles ficam entre um Strife e um Dag Nasty com pitadas dos conterrâneos do Floorpunch, ou tire suas próprias conclusões apertando o play dessa bagaceira. Recomendo a faixa 12 pra começar.

Muito em breve o post de número 100, com o melhor do oldschool do novo milênio.

French Weekend 2/3 - "Hell Yeah!" was my reaction when I first hit their myspace and heard their available tracks. Nantes became a new reference in European hardcore, like Umeå City or Antwerp.

In their second and unfortunately last record, GOLDEN DISTRICT delivers 10 tunes of positive yet raging hardcore not to be trifled with. In their 5 years of existence they shared stage with some of the best nowadays hardcore acts like Fired Up and True Colors!
