GOOD FELLAZ - 4 Jamz From Western Africa

Location: Islas Canarias, España
Release: SuperSoldiers Tapes, 2011 (sold out)

The blog has made 2 years of existence and 200 posts so far but things are a bit slow actually, not much time left after i began to study again at night (2nd major in accounting)..

Nervertheless heres some cool shit to check out! GOOD FELLAZ are back with a 4-song demo of their upcoming full-lentgh (to be released in 2012?), as fun and delightful as usual. WORD!

POWER TRIP - Lockin' Out 7''

Location: Dallas
Release: Lockin' Out, 2012 (pre-order)

Lockin' Out Records is very often mentioned here and it's always a pleasure to hear some news from them. As for this time they announced a new 7 inch.

Power Trip takes a step further on the metal realm, similar to what Violation and Iron Age did. I really enjoyed this, but it would be much better if it was a LP! Extra props to the Prong cover!!

Link provided by the band, please visit POWER TRIP's website for some nifty info/updates!

TURN THE SCREW - S/T

Location: St. Niklaas, België
Release: Not Just Words, 2005 (out of print)

In the mid-2000's Belgium was at their peak when it comes to old school hardcore, with bands like Justice, True Colors and Rise and Fall touring up and down, it quickly became a reference worldwide.

Turn The Screw was part of that bloom, 4 teenagers bringin' it down lockin' out style. They started in 2003, released a demo in 2004, the self titled EP in 2005 and broke up in 2006.

For fans of Mental, Stop & Think and DYS.

REINFORCE - Happy Teenagers Do Not Paint Their Rooms Black!

Location: North Carolina
Release: Mendit Records, 2001 (out of print)

Its been a while I wanted to upload this, so to begin this year's posts I chose a posi band, Reinforce.

Heavily inspired by 7 Seconds, they released one demo (back in '96 I believe), 2 EP's and the "Happy Teenagers..." full-lenght in 2001. Even though the LP is more poppy than the previous ones, it remains as my favourite. 15 tracks of catchy hardcore punk produced by Mr. Roger Miret out on Mendit Records that has closed long ago.

On that same very year some of these guys began a new project, The First Step.

REINFORCE WAS:
GUITAR - THE HARD EDGE
VOICE - J-FORCE
BASS - CHUNKS MCNABB
DRUMS - THE WIZARD

HARDCORE NEWS 4 "Fast Times"

Another year has come to an end as fast as ever and hardcore punk has shown no signs of slowing down, as my friend Jerry said hardcore is rock'n'roll only hope.

Without further ado I'll list some really cool upcoming and newly released albums. First I want to take my hats off to my friends at Final Round, after the X-Punch project, the Final Round demo, now their debut EP will be out soon in 2012. We share very similar tastes when it comes to crucial hardcore and it clearly appears in these recordings, Im talking about Warzone, Straight Ahead and Righteous Jams. Listen 'em Up!!

Also from Brazil, two very anticipated records are just out from local heavyweights: CLEARVIEW "Pure Mayhem" and QUESTIONS "Life Is a Fight" worth every minute, I'm talking about gold here, breakdowns that will tear your arms off.

Good news coming from Sweden, expect a warmer winter with almighty GUILTY new EP and the debut EP from CHAIN REACTION. Man! These swedish know how to rock, hard.

In France, representing the youth crew comes NO SOLUTION! with their sick demo, hope to hear more from them next year!

Two most anticipated french releases due 2012 from xDIGx and Dan Forth:

In Uncle Sam's homeland expect some serious shit coming from labels such as Back To Back, Triple-B, 6131, Iron Mind Crew... and YoungBlood that just put out 4 records! Gotta check 'em all out!!!
