Hardcore is quite unique. It mingles different forms of art and expressions. It makes you reflect on things you normally wouldn't as opposed to a regular mainstream music consumer. It belongs to the counterculture movement, always against the grain. The antidote of a standardized and numb society.

WALK THE PLANK and Thrashgig Records brought to us this gem in a pack of very limited 4x 7"s, featuring eye-popping artworks done by 4 different artists (French, Kev Grey, Mike Bukowski, Harley) with 2 tracks in each EP: one unreleased (some were later re-released in their full-length Dead Man in Hostile Waters) and the other one being an exclusive cover song. As a bonus I'm adding their Self-Titled CD which includes the first EP + demo.

WALK THE PLANK - Dead Weight in Hostile Waters

With a sick artwork such as this one, it's harder to pass by unnoticed! WALK THE PLANK team up with Bukowski to bring it all together and present their debut LP Dead Weight In Hostile Waters.

Being their only full-length, these Liverpool punks delivers 13 tracks of mid-paced snotty hardcore, inspired by the 80's sound not unlike Poison Idea and Negative Approach. Chant along with their pirate-themed lyrics and grow your bounty with this preciosity, aye aye?!

In 2012 they made their second and final reunion show in Nottingham with a special limited edition of this record for those who attended. According to this blog, their first reunion was held on a boat!! Unfortunately there are no videos online.
